  • Who can enter this pageant?
    Any single woman over the age of 18 is eligible to enter the Miss Utah for America pageant. It doesn't matter if she is single, divorced, or widowed, with or without children. All are welcome to participate.
  • What are the areas of competition?
    Each of our contestants is judged in three areas of competition. 1. Interview, which accounts for 50% of your score. 2. Swimsuit 3. Evening Gown Both the swimsuit and evening gown competitions happen onstage during the final show. From there, we narrow our field of contestants and ask an onstage question.
  • Miss America has done away with their swimsuit competition. Have you?
    The Miss for America system is not affiliated with the Miss America Organization in any way. Ours is a traditional beauty pageant with three areas of competition - interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. All sizes, shapes, and figures are encouraged to apply! Our swimsuits are one piece or tankinis that do not bare a midriff. We strive to select items that are flattering on every body.
  • What do my entry fees cover?
    The entry fee for the Miss Utah for America pageant is $995. This covers your custom embroidered sash, all workshops, food for pageant weekend, and competition swimsuit. Entry fees may be paid all at once or in installments. To become a contestant with the Miss Utah for America pageant, you only need a $150 deposit to get started that is applied to your entry fee. You are responsible for your shoes, jewelry, interview outfit, and evening gown.
  • Is there a talent portion of the competition?
    No! Our contestants are judged on interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. Finalists will receive a final question to answer on stage. That's it!
  • Can I enter the pageant if I have kids?
    Yes! If you are single, divorced, or widowed, you are eligible whether or not you have kids.
  • What are the duties of Miss Utah for America?
    Miss Utah for America only has two non-negotiable duties. 1. Compete in the national competition held in Las Vegas. 2. Help build our community of women through encouraging people to become contestants. That's it! Whatever else you choose to do with your title is up to you. We are here to support you in whatever your year looks like.
